How to Request a Budget in the Crafty Platform

Easily set and manage spending limits by submitting budget requests directly in the Crafty Platform.

Whether you need to create a budget from scratch or want to filter existing ones by location or program, you can submit a request directly from the budgets tab. The icon will always be visible on the Budgets tab. 

What is the Budget Request feature?

The Budget Request feature lets you create and customize budget limits based on your unique location or program needs. Whether you're starting from scratch or refining an existing budget, this tool streamlines the request process.

How does Budget Request save me time?

Crafty’s Budget Request feature reduces back-and-forth communication by giving you a direct way to submit budget needs. It’s intuitive, fast, and available right in the Platform—no external forms or separate emails required.

How do I use the Budget Request feature?

  • Navigate to the Budgets tab in the Crafty Platform.

  • Click the Request New Budget button (always visible at the top of the tab).

  • A short form will appear. Fill in details to:

    • Categorize your budget (e.g., by location or program)

    • Set custom spending limits

  • Submit the form directly in the Platform.

Once submitted:

  • You’ll receive an automated confirmation email.

  • A member of the Crafty Customer Success Team will follow up with next steps.

  • You’re launching Crafty service in a new office and need to set a budget by location.

  • You want to align pantry spending with quarterly goals.

  • You’re running a special program or campaign and need a temporary budget.

  • You want more visibility and control over spend at different offices.

FAQs

Can I view budgets I’ve already submitted?
Yes. All submitted and active budgets can be filtered and viewed in the Budgets tab.

Will I be notified once my budget is approved?
Yes, a Customer Success Team member will confirm once your budget is approved and active.

Can I request changes to an existing budget?
Absolutely. You can either submit a new budget request or contact your Customer Success Manager for edits.
