How to Add or Update Special Delivery Instructions

Make sure your order gets exactly where it needs to go with the right delivery notes.

What are special delivery instructions?

Special delivery instructions help our delivery team understand how to access your space or drop off your order with ease. You can enter them either per order or save them to your account for future use.

How do delivery instructions save me time and create a better pantry experience?

With accurate, up-to-date delivery instructions:

  • Your orders arrive exactly where you want them.

  • Our team can navigate access points, security, or delivery quirks without delay.

  • You reduce the risk of missed deliveries or returns.

How do I use delivery instructions?

You have two options:

Option 1: Add instructions for a single order

  • During checkout on the Crafty Platform, enter instructions specific to that order (e.g., “Leave with front desk,” “Call upon arrival,” or “Use freight elevator”).

  • These instructions apply only to that specific delivery and will not be saved for future orders.

Option 2: Save recurring instructions to your account

  • Go to Settings in the Crafty Platform.

  • Click on the desired account.

  • A pop-up will appear. From there, you can add, edit, or delete saved delivery instructions tied to that account.

These instructions will automatically appear on all future deliveries linked to the selected account.

Scenarios where delivery instructions are most helpful

  • Your office has restricted access or requires a keycode.

  • There’s a preferred delivery entrance.

  • You want deliveries left with reception or at a specific desk.

  • You need a contactless drop-off due to building policies.

How do my instructions appear to the delivery team?

We want you to feel confident about how our team executes your delivery:

  • Blue Highlight: Special instructions tied to a single order.

  • Yellow Highlight: Saved instructions tied to your account.

Both types show up on our internal delivery tickets, so nothing gets missed.

FAQs

Can I update delivery instructions after an order is placed?
Yes. Email your location owner or Support@craftydelivers.com as soon as possible to update instructions before the order is dispatched.

Can I request delivery to a specific time or day?
Drop-and-Go clients can select delivery times during checkout. Other clients should coordinate with their Crafty team.

What happens if no one is available for delivery?
Our team will leave your order outside your site’s main door unless other delivery instructions are provided.

Where do I go to update my instructions?
Navigate to your Settings in the Crafty Platform and select your account to edit saved delivery instructions.

Can I request contactless delivery?
Yes! Contactless delivery is available through our Drop-and-Go program.
